ITEN 2nd Thursdays

September 9, 2010  - 4pm until about 6pm - Networking in the bar area in Maggiano’s restaurant across Brentwood Blvd. from the Galleria.   There’s ample free parking in the Boulevard garage, and the location has convenient access to I-170 and I-64.  Reduced price beer and appetizers.  Come hang with ITEN mentors and entrepreneurs.   Always interesting discussions and it's a great way for mentors and entrepreneurs to connect with each other.

What they're saying:

"The Thursday networking event was a relaxed and enjoyable way to get to better know the technology companies, their experiences, needs and visions.  This is a terrific event and well worth doing regularly."  Dana Marshall, mentor

"It was very energizing to connect with mentors and other entrepreneurs.  It's exciting to hear about other ventures and what they're doing."  Nick Apperson, CEO WorldKi

What they're not saying:

"Who invented those little red things they put in green olives?"

The Killer Model

September 22, 2010 - Technology entrepreneurs are skilled and passionate at expressing their company’s value propositions, benefits to their customers, enabling technologies, market opportunity, etc.  But they tend to struggle when it comes to expressing their business model in financial and economic terms that candidate investors (angels to VC’s to acquirers) can understand.  Entrepreneurs need to hone their skills when it comes to expressing important dimensions of their business model or risk being crowded-out on funding opportunities by entrepreneurs who can.

Ted Feierstein, a VC from First Analysis in Chicago will present a new approach to financial models with lots of relevant examples for entrepreneurs that can immediately impact your business. The result will be that you will leave with a clear understanding of the specific economic/financial models that will enable you express your business opportunity and metrics from a investor-centric perspective.   This is an important opportunity for all technology companies.

Register now for the free seminar The Killer Model on Wednesday September 22nd from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at IT Enterprises.
