ITEN 2nd Thursday

June 13, 2013 - 4pm until about 6pm - Networking with ITEN companies, mentors, investors and interested friends. (Speaker starts at about 4:20)

Topic for June: Winning Business from Larger Companies For any B2B startup, getting one of those first purchase orders from an established well-known customer is key.   Not only does it mean the beginning of what could be a great revenue stream, but it also means a huge boost to your venture's credibility with investors and other potential customers.  Matthew Kulig, co-founder of aisle411 has seen this process from many angles, and will share his insights and experiences which will be very informative.  Not only has aisle411 successfully done deals with major national corporations, but they've also recently been on the other side of the fence evaluating data center providers for their growning technology support needs.  What are some of the reasons larger companies put off writing that purchase order?  If you have a product or service they need, what would make them turn you down?  How can you reduce their hesitancy to close the deal?  What does your company need to "look like" to a potential customer in order to get their business?

Held at the Tavern of Fine Arts , 313 Belt Ave St. Louis 63112, just off Pershing between Union and DeBalivere. It's a happy two hours with all of your friends from ITEN and beyond.  Everyone is invited; plenty of free parking.

Always interesting discussions and it's a great way for entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and others interested in networking with and about start-up tech ventures to connect with each other. 2nd Thursday is open to all and all are welcome, so do come hang with us!

Special heartfelt thanks to our 2nd Thursday event sponsor: the insurance firm of AHM Financial Group. Check out AHM for intellectual property insurance and other corporate insurance coverages.

Upcoming 2nd Thursday topics:

July 11th, 2013:  Valuation of early stage tech deals, with Vince Stegman, Hal Gentry and Chris Peterson
